FAQ
CTO (Community Take Over) is a decentralized crowdfunding platform on Solana. Communities pool SOL to fund a campaign, vote to elect a leader, and that leader gets admin rights to the project's X (Twitter) Community. A 2% referral fee applies to all contributions.
There's a 2% referral fee on all contributions to campaigns. This goes to the person who referred you. The platform also takes a 10% fee from Pump.Fun fees — not from your contributions. Your SOL goes directly toward the campaign goal.
All contributions are real on-chain Solana transactions verified by the platform. Each campaign has its own unique wallet. Transactions are transparent and can be verified on Solscan at any time.
Only contributors can vote. Your voting power is proportional to your SOL contribution — if you put in 50% of the funds, your vote carries 50% weight. You can vote for any wallet address, including your own.
The elected leader creates and manages the X Community for the token. The community link gets displayed on the campaign card (great for Dexscreener visibility). Stretch goals fund additional boosts and listings.
The community can continue voting even after funding. If the elected leader fails to act, contributors can shift their votes to a new candidate. The platform monitors for inactive leaders.
Contributions are final once sent on-chain. This ensures campaign stability and prevents manipulation. Only contribute what you're comfortable with.
